She certainly inspires one to seize the day!  Nola's spirit is alive and well, and she will forever nudge me to seek higher ground! What I most loved about her, besides her devotion to friendship, was her lightheartedness, the way she always had the bigger picture in view, not getting snagged on the little stuff.  The first time she brought me to the house, months after Christmas had come and gone, and I found the tree still standing and decorated and covered in dust, presents still under the tree, fakes I think, I was perplexed by all this!  Of course what I later realized was that she carried Christmas in her heart all year round, and the tree was merely a symbol, a reminder to keep that spirit anew every day.  What a gal!  How can one Not bask in the light of her shadow?
