I grew up in Davis, around the corner from the Haggertys. My mom and dad were friends with Nola and Dave, and my dad and Dave were in the same department at UCD working on PhDs. Katie and I were friends in high school. I remember Katie's big brother had a really cool car! I always loved the Haggerty's house, then and now. It was so big and beautiful and cheery, always. I loved going there, or just strolling by there walking through the neighborhood on a hot summer night. That house, and our neighborhood are such a huge part of my fond childhood memories! I'm glad our families have a friendship going back decades!
