Forty-nine years ago (August 8, 1964) I married the love of my life, Nola. She gave me everything a man could ask for: four remarkable children, her unwavering love and attention, and gentle coaching and encouragement to become the best husband and father that I could be. I may not have always lived up to her expectations, but she never expressed any disappointment in me nor our life together. I was fortunate enough to share a wholly fulfilling relationship that too few of those I know have experienced; for this, I am forever in her debt.
